What do you think about the new iOS.7?
I went to bed last night and downloaded the new operating system to my iPhone 4s. I have to admit I didn't care for it much at first and I'm not the type to be afraid of change. I welcome it with open arms as long as it's going to benefit the people it affects. Something about the new keyboard and text messages that I didn't like. Here is a shot of the new look.
it has a faded look to it and I think the fonts are a little to small but maybe I'm just getting old and should be wearing glasses, I'll never admit it! The new operating system does have a complete new look to it as well as the way it feels in operation. I'm sure there are plenty more features that I will discover along the way. That is one of the fun things about an iPhone. You can learn something new everyday for a whole year before you know it all. Then they will come out with an update that changes some things and you have to learn them all again :)
I wrote a similar post on my website this morning but I'm guessing not everyone had downloaded the new iOS.7 just yet. There are a lot of people that will wait to read some reviews from the ones that couldn't wait to try the new iOS. Then if the reviews are good those skeptics will download the new system.
Some of the features that I didn't like were the color schemes used by Apple Inc. on this version. They remind me a lot of what Google has done to Gmail and Google Plus. Here is a sneak peek at the home screen with some of the apps that have changed their icons as well. As you can see here they changed the Camera, Photo's, Calendar, Settings, Notes,Maps, Safari, reminders and messages. Now that I think of it they probably changed the look of all the stock apps lol Also added a FaceTime App. If your a business owner I suggest you take a look at this Mobile Apps for Business
As far as functionality goes I can say i'm enjoying the new version. There are a lot of features to learn and figure out but for the ones I had to use throughout the day I was impressed. For instance the camera app, now you can add a mosaic feature to your photo's before you snap the picture. It shows up live on screen so you can see what it will look like. I love the feature but I do wish they added a few more than the ones they have. Also when you slide up from the bottom of the phone while in the lock screen you get a nice selection of quick fire apps to use such as on the bottom there is a flashlight button a timer/stopwatch a calculator and the camera app. Then you have your music player in the middle and another row of apps on the top, This row displays the airplane mode, wifi, blue tooth, do not disturb and a portrait orientation lock button. The in phone search feature where you could swipe from the first page of apps to the right, that feature has changed to a pull down from any page of apps.
If you are a business owner and are looking for ways to get more customers have a look at my website www.flipit4u.com
I could go on and on and give a tutorial but that's not what this post is about. I just want to know if you bothered to download the new iOS and what you think of it ? I'd love to hear from you and your opinion.
